Welcome UPA Parents and 2025 Seniors
Hello! We are excited to take your senior pictures this year! Take2 will do everything possible to make your senior portrait session safe and fun! We know that senior portraits are an important part of senior year and are happy to offer them to you. You will receive emails from [email protected] when it is time to book your portrait sessions.
To book your spot, there is a session fee. The emails you receive will give you all the details.
How to Book a Session
- Use the "Book a Session" button on this page to sign up.
- Choose the date, then the time.
- On the "Contact Information" page, please put the STUDENT's NAME (not parent's name), plus the student's personal email address and cell phone number.
- Make your payment and receive a confirmation email.
- Some sessions will be held at the Take2 Studio - 1053 Normington Way, San Jose
- Some sessions will be held at your school. Please check your confirmation email for location.
- Get excited about your senior portraits and remind your friends to sign up, too!
How to Prepare For Your Senior Portrait Session
BOYS - You will wear a tux/shirt/bowtie provided by Take2 and sanitized in between students. We also provide a cap and gown. Please come freshly shaven and well groomed. Have clean fingernails as your hands show in one of the poses.
GIRLS - You will use our sanitized traditional black velvet drape and cap and gown. Make sure to have your fingernails freshly manicured as they will show in one of the pictures. Try not to wear any foundation or powder that has a reflective aspect to it, as it causes the appearance of shine. A matte powder is best.
Arrive Ready To Go
- Boys, you will be fitted with a shirt/tux jacket/bowtie to wear for the portraits.
- Girls will be photographed in the black velvet drape. Please come camera ready, with a strapless bra or a tube top.
Parent or Senior Student Volunteers needed!
We need one parent or senior student volunteers each day.
You can earn $18/hour credit towards a photo package for every hour that you work.

Senior Portrait Information
Formal Portraits
What, when and where? Formal senior portraits are typically taken at the Take2 home studio. It is possible that one will be scheduled at the school as well. We begin our sessions during the summer before your senior year. The shoot lasts up to 15 minutes and includes formal shots (tux for guys and black velvet drapes for girls) and shots with a cap and gown. You can also bring a personal item to use in one of the poses. (for example: sports equipment, musical instrument, cultural item, trophy or award, stuffed animal) Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that you can get fitted for your portrait attire, which is provided by Take2.
How do I schedule a portrait session? You will receive a link from Take2 to an online scheduling system. You can also just click the "Book a session" button to the right. Fill out the registration form, select your portrait time, and pay your session fee.
What is the session fee for? The session fee reserves your appointment time, and covers our time for the shoot, the editing and processing of your digital gallery. We understand that life happens, so if you need to change your appointment time, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time, or are a no show, your session fee will be forfeited. The session fee is non-refundable.
How do I view and purchase my senior portraits? Approximately 2 weeks after your session, you will receive an email with a link to your senior gallery. You can view and purchase from this link. Your gallery will be posted for a specified amount of time. During that time, you can purchase your portraits or the digital files from your session.
How do I select my yearbook photo? You will need to make your choice for your yearbook photo within 3 weeks of receiving your gallery. The yearbook requires a formal pose (tux or drape). If you don't make a selection in that period of time, don't worry, Take2 Photography will select our favorite picture of you.
What if I did not receive my link? If you do not receive the link for your images within 3 weeks, please check your spam folder, first. Then email us at [email protected]. Please add us to your contact list as we will be contacting you several times over the course of the year.

Casual Outdoor Portraits

What, when and where? Casual Outdoor Portraits can be scheduled anytime from the Summer before your senior year, up until Spring. Fall is the optimal time to do them. We have several outdoor locations that we use around the Willow Glen and Almaden area. We will also have a few Senior Portrait Days set up throughout the year - where you can choose from a mini session or a full session. These images are a popular choice to add to our custom senior Graduation Cards, Announcements and Invitations.

How do I schedule an outdoor session? Contact us for more details at [email protected].
What is the session fee for? Just like with the formal sessions, the session fee reserves your appointment time, and covers our time for the shoot, the editing and processing of your digital gallery. After the session, you can view your images in a proofing gallery and order from our senior packages. No pictures come with the session.
How do I see my casual outdoor portraits? Like the formal portraits, these photos will also be added to an online gallery, and you will receive a link by email approximately three weeks after your shoot.
Can I combine my Formal Senior Portrait order with my Casual Senior Portraits order? No. The packages cannot be combined. Separate galleries, separate orders.

Graduation Cards
We offer a fine selection of custom Graduation Announcements and Invitations. Grad cards are a nice way to let family and friends know of your high school achievements, where you plan to attend college, or your travel plans. You can use one side for an announcement and the other side for a graduation party invitation. The cards are 5 x 7, double-sided and printed on premium cardstock papers. The cards will include two to four pictures. You can select any of the formal, cap and gown, and/or casual photos that Take2 has taken. We have several sample cards for you to choose from. Cards are typically ordered in the spring. The turnaround time on the cards is up to three weeks so plan accordingly when deciding when to order.
